The best way to begin your holiday season is at the 28th Annual Holiday Brass Concert featuring a member of the International Women's Brass Conference. Grammy Award winning Christine Brewer returns to the Holiday Brass Concerts singing her signature “O Holy Night,” Andrew Lloyd Webber's “Pie Jesu” and foot-tapping Gospel songs. The lively concert features traditional Holiday favorites such as Hallelujah Chorus, Ava Maria, Silent Night and Many more! Celebrating their 28th Anniversary – the special guest promises to be spectacular. Come and enjoy the bag pipers and drummers, St. Louis Choir and the Holiday Brass ensemble led by Susan Slaughter - making this a particularly wonderful memory!

NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION - Zia's & Powell Hall – Tuesday, December 31, 2019

Our BIG Holiday Event always promises to be extraordinary. This evening we start with a delicious dinner at Zia's Restaurant on The Hill. Our Menu: House Salad, Chicken Spedini Prosciutto, Side of Pasta with choice of sauce, Beverage and Dessert.

Following dinner we are on our way to the beautiful Powell Symphony Hall. This annual event is one of the best – kept secrets in St. Louis with enchanting sounds that only come from our very own St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Tonight, Music Director Stephane Deneve will be at the podium to lead the annual New Year's Eve Celebration featuring delightful music in a program full of surprises.

As usual, on our way home Champagne will be poured and enjoyed by all our Circle of Friends! This is the perfect trip to say goodbye to the old and welcome the New Year in! Seats are limited!

Pio's & Finding Neverland – Saturday, January 25, 2020

Today we begin our first tour of the New Year at Pio's Restaurant. This eatery, though “Old School” is steeped in Old St. Charles history beginning in 1958. Our menu: Salad, Chicken Supreme, Au gratin Potatoes, Corn, Bread, Beverage and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.

The highlight of our day begins at the J. Scheidegger Theater with the live performance of “Finding Neverland.” The winner of Broadway Audience Choice Award for Best Musical! Finding Neverland tells the incredible story behind one of the world's most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys' enchanting make-believe adventures, he writes a play that will astound theatergoers.

With a little pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes this monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland, where anything is possible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever!

100th Anniversary

Our morning begins at the Sheldon Concert Hall with a delicious breakfast of baked goods and coffee! Following breakfast, we go to the main floor auditorium to enjoy Adam Maness Trio celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Jazz legend Dave Brubeck with performances of his popular “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo ala Turk.” And more great jazz both old and new! Enjoy this trio pianist Adam Maness joined by bassist Bob DeBoo and Drummer Montez Coleman.

Now, for a unique luncheon, we head to the Melting Pot in Delmar Loop. Our menu: Wisconsin Cheese/Quattro Formaggio Fondue, California Salad, Filet Mignon, White Shrimp, Teriyaki Marinated Sirloin, Breast of Chicken, Featured Pasta and for dessert – of course, CHOCOLATE FONDUE! This will be a three- hour eating experience.

JJ's Restaurant & “Who's In Bed with the Butler” – Sunday, February 9, 2020

Today we begin at JJ's Restaurant for a delicious luncheon. This family owned eatery is a friendly atmosphere with wonderful service. We may even get to see a '57 Chevy or a '42 Ford. Our plated luncheon: ½ Slab of Ribs, Loaded Baked Potato, Coleslaw, Beverage & Dessert.

Following lunch, we are off to Act II Theater for the live performance of “Who's in Bed with the Butler?” This funny story is about the complicated love life of a butler named Clifton. California billionaire bequeaths nearly all his assets to his only daughter, Constance. Except what he left for his three lovers, hilarity erupts as Constance arrives at her father's mansion to discover that his cars, yacht and art collection have disappeared. The elderly, deaf housekeeper has a pet rat and the butler has hired an actress to play his wife? Is the Butler behind all the shenanigans? Who's in Bed with the Butler? Is one of the best American farces!!!

Washington, MO Art, Trains & More – Thursday, February 20, 2020

This morning we head to Washington, Missouri. We will start with a unique Art Experience. Paper Mosaics are the invention and signature technique of Russ Irwin. There is only one place in the world you can watch colored layers of paper being sanded into stunning works of art. The NFL, PGA, Citigroup, Pfizer, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and other notable clients have commissioned the art experience at Russell's Studio. We will all take home one of his original Paper Mosaic treasures after watching a demonstration on how this very specific art is created.

Next on our schedule, lunch at Cowan's Restaurant. This building dates back to the inception of the town and the restaurant has been a meeting –eating-place for generations. Our plated lunch: Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Slaw, Biscuits, Beverage and Pie. Last, but certainly not least, a stop at Iron Spike Model Train Museum has been scheduled. This hidden gem is certainly a part of American history that the museum is trying to preserve. This experience they provide is to teach the science, technology and history of trains. This family has found a way to honor and preserve the Railroad heritage of the Midwest.
